This was really fun to work on! ◔ ◡ ◔
I initially wanted to do something involving hands holding a small island (or something), but I thought I'd take a different approach to emphasize the concept: you have to make your own utopia sometimes. Marcus' face was dry when we initially shot it, and about a quarter of the way through working on the image, I had to take some more shots to apply as wet texture. I have an obedient camera, but it was tricky to try to capture the little stream trickling in focus. Here's a work-in-progress screenshot to see how it all looked halfway-through. Song inspiration: "Hong Kong" by "Gorillaz". (Very nice song, I recommend it for a change of pace.) 150+ Layers!
